Single Review: Bury Tomorrow – Abandon Us

Line-up changes are often decisive. When I first heard that clean vocalist and guitarist Jason was leaving Bury Tomorrow I wasn’t sure what the future held for the band.

With everything going on in the world, you wouldn’t have blamed them for calling it a day.

Fast forward a year, two new members, three singles, and a 7th studio album slated for release in March 2023, and I really can’t believe this is the same band. With the new line-up comes an outstanding new energy and a more mature, polished sound.

The first single from the upcoming album, ‘Abandon Us’ is visceral from the very first moment, with lyrics that have clearly been influenced by the state of the world, the pandemic and the clear abandonment from the ones that are supposed to govern us all. It’s sure to please both long-time fans and new listeners alike.
