american horror story coven– FX have revealed a teaser poster for American Horror Story: Coven and it’s snake-tastic. True to AHS style, the poster is a little on the disturbing side but is horribly intriguing all the same. The new season will air on FOX UK at the end of October – just in time for Halloween!

– Ever thought about taking a college course inspired by zombies? Well, now that thought can be a reality as AMC, the network behind The Walking Dead, are partnering with UC Irvine USA for a brand new course called…wait for it…’Society, Science, Survival: Lessons from AMC’s The Walking Dead‘. We really hope this isn’t a cruel joke! The online course is said to explore the deeper implications of the series, with AMC saying “Fans of the show know that The Walking Dead is about more than zombies; it’s about survival, leadership and adapting to situations that are perilous and uncertain.” This sounds like an extension of The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks. We have one question – where do we sign up?

Downton Abbey alum Dan Stevens will voice the iconic biological computer TIM in Greg Berlanti’s The Tomorrow People. The AI character was established in the British version of the show in the 70s and was originally voiced by Canadian actor Philip Gilbert. The Tomorrow People will premiere in the US in October.

– Deadline have reported that the beautifully British Elizabeth Hurley is set to star in The Royals, a scripted E! pilot from One Tree Hill producers Mark Schwahn, Brian Robbins and Joe Davola. The series is being described as ‘Hamlet-esque’ and will be a contemporary drama centering on a fictional royal family. How very posh!

– In the latest Game of Thrones news, it’s been announced that the role of Gregor Clegane, aka the Mountain, has been recast for a third time. There seems to be a bit of a pattern going on here, which sees the role recast every season but will Bjornsson be the final Gregor? With the character said to have more screen time in season 4 it’s likely that Bjornsson will stick around.
