Fans at the Sherlock panel at the San Diego Comic-Con were treated to the first trailer for the show’s upcoming Christmas special, which has also been released online. For a while now we’ve known that the special would somehow take place during the Victorian era and now we know that it will not be a part of the show’s wider continuity, but just a one-off, which will also be screened in cinemas. A three-episode fourth season is also in the works, which will premiere sometime in late 2016. But for now, hit play below and take a look at Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman and Una Stubbs in all their Victorian glory.
The Good Wife has added several new faces to its cast ahead of its seventh season with Margo Martindale (The Americans) and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Supernatural) set to appear. Martindale will star as Willa Eastman, a top campaign operative who has previous successes with underdog presidential candidates, whilst Morgan will play a private investigator whom Alicia (Julianna Margulies) hires for her new law firm.
With production on the second season of Marvel’s Daredevil well underway and the recent casting of Jon Bernthal as The Punisher, fans have been waiting with baited breath for any news of Daredevil‘s other iconic character, Elektra. Now Marvel have announced that Elodie Young (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) has bagged the role and will appear as a main character in the new season.
Showtime have released a first trailer for Homeland which returns later this year for its fifth season. The new series sees Carrie (Claire Danes) relocated to Berlin and working for a private security firm following her tenure as Station Chief in Pakistan. Co-stars Rupert Friend, Mandy Patinkin and F. Murray Abraham are all set to return alongside newcomers Sebastian Koch (The Lives of Others) and Miranda Otto (The Lord of the Rings).
Showtime also unveiled a first trailer for their new series Billions starring Damian Lewis (Homeland) and Paul Giamatti (John Adams). Set amidst the high stakes world of power and finance, the series follows two towering figures who are pitted against each other – U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Giamatti) and cocky hedge-fund manager Bobby ‘Axe’ Axelrod (Lewis). Toby Leonard Moore (Daredevil), Malin Akerman (Watchmen), Maggie Siff (Sons of Anarchy) and David Costabile (Suits) also star.
After her popular stint on Orange Is The New Black, Ruby Rose is set to return to our screens later this month in Syfy’s Dark Matter and you can take a look at her in action in the first glimpse photo below. Rose will appear in one episode of the space drama, as an entertainment android whose sexual prowess makes a strong impression on the crew, until things take a dark turn.
We’ve had on set snaps and production photos, now we finally have our first video trailer of the highly anticipated revival of The X-Files. The new footage premiered at the end of a promo encouraging fans old and new to work their way through each episode of the classic series ahead of its return in January 2016. Though it may only be a few seconds long, it feels so good to finally see Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) back in action together. Fox also announced this week that Rhys Darby (Flight of the Conchords) will appear as a guest star in one of the series’ ‘monster of the week’ episodes.
