ITV have unveiled the first trailer for their new series Houdini and Doyle, created by David Shore (House). The new series stars Stephen Mangan (Green Wing) as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the creator of Sherlock Holmes and a passionate believer in the paranormal desperately searching for a way to communicate with the other side after losing someone he loves. Michael Weston (House) meanwhile, stars as Harry Houdini, the world’s most famous magician and a staunch believer that there is no such thing as magic.

Netflix have released another teaser for House Of Cards, ahead of its return on 4th March. In the new trailer, Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) puts himself forward as the President America needs and deserves, promising that he will do whatever it takes. Have a watch and judge for yourself.

After years of back and forth, HBO have announced that the long awaited Deadwood movie has finally been given the go ahead. The critically acclaimed show about the citizens of a frontier town in the Wild West ran for three seasons in 2004 – 2006 before it was cancelled, but ever since there has been speculation about whether series creator, David Milch, would be allowed to finish the story off. With the greenlight finally given, it seems fans of the show can dare to hope they might get some closure.

Details about Netflix’s Twin Peaks revival are still scarce, but it has emerged that Laura Dern (Jurassic Park) has joined the cast. The current theory is that Dern will play Diane, the unseen woman from the messages that Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) recorded in the original series, but as with all internet rumours, this should be taken with more than a healthy pinch of salt.

Anthony Horowitz’s (Foyle’s War) new series, New Blood, has cast Anna Chancellor (The Hour) and Mark Addy (Atlantis). The crime series, described as showing a ‘side of modern London through two outsiders’, already stars Mark Strepan (The Mill) and Ben Tavvasoli (No Offence) as two police officers who find themselves up against the rich and powerful when they take on two seemingly unrelated cases. New Blood is expected to air later in 2016.

SundanceTV announced that Rectify will end after its upcoming fourth season. The dark drama series tells the story of Daniel Holden (Aden Young), a man released after nineteen years on death row, as he struggles to reconnect with his family and reintegrate into his small hometown. The final run of six episodes will air sometime in 2016.

From Merlin to Damien – check out the trailer for The Omen spin-off series, which stars Bradley James (Merlin) as a grown up Damien Thorn. The new series sees Damien forced to confront his past and accept his true identity as the Antichrist.
