The Punisher is coming to Hell’s Kitchen. Netflix have announced that Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead) has joined the cast of Marvel’s Daredevil, signing on to star in the show’s second season as Frank Castle aka The Punisher. Castle, a brutal vigilante, is one of the most iconic characters from Marvel’s roster and his inclusion is a sign of exciting things to come.

Filming has now begun on The X-Files revival series and this week fans were treated to the first image of Mulder and Scully back in action. The picture, released via the show’s Twitter page, shows David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprising their roles from the iconic sci-fi series.

Outlander has found two new faces for its second season with Audrey Brisson (W.E) set to appear, alongside Dominique Pinon (Amelie). Brisson will star as Sister Angelique, a nun at a French hospital, whilst Pinon will be Master Raymond, a mysterious apothecary who forms a close bond with Claire (Caitriona Balfe).

FOX UK has released a trailer for Falling Skies ahead of its return on Tuesday 30th June. The fifth and final series sees college professor-turned resistance fighter Tom Mason (Noah Wyle) and his band of survivors gearing up for one last battle against the alien invaders who have destroyed the world.

Jaden Smith (After Earth) has joined the cast of The Get Down. Smith will star in Baz Luhrmann’s (Moulin Rouge) new series for Netflix which chronicles the lives of a group of New York teenagers in the 1970s during the birth of hip hop, punk and disco. He joins a cast which already includes Jimmy Smits (Dexter), Justice Smith (Paper Towns), Mamoudou Athie (Madam Secretary) and Shameik Moore (Incredible Crew).

Episodes has been renewed for a fifth season. The Matt le Blanc starring comedy series, which is co-produced by Showtime and BBC Two, will return sometime in 2016.

Finally, Bradley Cooper (American Sniper), Graham King (The Departed) and Todd Phillips (The Hangover) have teamed up with Syfy for an adaptation of Hyperion. Based on the novel of the same name by Dan Simmons, the epic story takes place during a galactic war, where seven pilgrims set forth on a journey to seek the answers to the unsolved riddles of their lives.
