Sky Atlantic have released the first full trailer for their upcoming drama Fortitude, about a strange murder in an isolated Arctic community. Written by Simon Donald (Low Winter Sun), it has a stellar cast including Sofie Grabol (The Killing), Stanley Tucci (The Hunger Games), Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who), Michael Gambon (Harry Potter) and Jessica Raine (Call The Midwife). This looks like it could be really exciting.

Damian Lewis (Homeland) and Paul Giamatti (Sideways) are teaming up for a new Showtime series titled Billions. Written by Andrew Ross Sorkin (Too Big To Fail), Brian Koppelman and David Levien (Ocean’s Thirteen), it will be a drama about the clash between U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhodes (Giammati) and hedge fund manager Bobby ‘Axe’ Axelrod (Lewis), two titans of high finance.

The first teaser trailer has been released for Netflix’s upcoming series, Bloodlines, a drama about four adult siblings who must adjust when the black sheep of the family returns home. The teaser is vague (at best) about the plot, featuring a burning ship and an ominous voice-over from Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights).

FX have handed Ryan Murphy yet another series commission – the American Horror Story creator is developing Scream Queens, new comedy horror anthology which will see a series of killings take place on a college campus. The show will premiere sometime in 2015.

Following last week’s slew of movie adaptations coming to TV, comes even more – ABC have announced that Marc Cherry (Desperate Housewives) is developing a Phantom of the Opera drama series which would be set in a modern-day opera house.

Yet another Frankenstein remake is in the works (yes, really), this time from Fox who are developing a new TV series inspired by Mary Shelley’s iconic story. Their version will see ‘morally corrupt’ FBI agent Adam Trouble brought back to life by an antisocial billionaire and his scientist twin sister and forced to choose between returning to his old ways or finding a new purpose to his existence. The one glimmer of hope in this announcement is that Howard Gordon (Homeland) will be executive producing, alongside Rand Ravich (Life).
