The moving trailer for upcoming documentary Batkid Begins is probably the most uplifting video you’ll see this week.

The movie follows the amazing story of five-year-old Miles Scott, a young boy who suffered from Leukaemia and who wished to become Batman for a day.

As the Make-a-Wish Foundation got ready to make Miles’ dream become a reality, his story unexpectedly spread far and wide, becoming a worldwide phenomenon. On 15 November 2013, Miles’ hometown of San Francisco became Gotham City for the day and people from across the globe helped Miles’ Batman dream come true.

Batkid day is one of the largest and most elaborate Make-A-Wish projects ever staged and audiences will be happy to hear that Miles is doing well and in remission.

Julia Roberts was also inspired by this amazing project: it was recently announced that the Oscar-winner will produce and star in a fictional adaptation of Miles’ story. No further details on this have surfaced yet.
