The past few weeks have seen a host of exciting trailers released for some of 2016’s most hyped movies. From the return of Ben Stiller as everyone’s favourite male model in Zoolander 2 to the first glimpse of the action-packed sequel to Now You See Me, join us as we highlight the top movie trailers you need to watch right now:

Ben Stiller & Owen Wilson Return To The Catwalk In Zoolander 2

Ben Stiller’s iconic male model Derek Zoolander first hit our screens back in 2001. Now, 14 years later, he’s returned, ready to reintroduce blue steel to a world where self-image is everything and Instagram rules.

The trailer is as off-the-wall and tongue-in-cheek as you would expect – and bound to delight fans of the original.

The sequel sees Derek and his fellow male model Handel (Owen Wilson) feeling increasingly superfluous before finding a new lease of life when glamorous Interpol agent Penelope Cruz informs them “someone is trying to kill the most beautiful people in the world”. Apparently Zoolander is the only one who can help. Cue a high-octave trailer featuring Justin Bieber’s assassination, Benedict Cumberbatch as an androgynous supermodel and Kristin Wiig as a high-fashion victim.

Zoolander 2 is set for release on 12 February 2016, during New York Fashion Week.

Gods of Egypt Teaser Trailer

The first trailer for Gods of Egypt has arrived, in which the survival of mankind hangs in the balance as an unexpected mortal hero, Bek (soon-to-be Pirates of the Caribbean lead Brenton Thwaites), has to save the world.

On his mission, Bek joins up with vengeful god Horus (Games of Thrones’ Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) in order to battle god of darkness Set (Gerard Butler), who has usurped Egypt’s throne, plunging the once peaceful and prosperous empire into pandemonium.

Fans of action-fantasy might enjoy this movie, but Gods of Egypt looks clichéd and CGI-heavy. The movie has also come under fire for “whitewashing” Egypt as none of the main cast hail from the country.

The movie is bound to inspire more conversation on this topic in the lead up to its theatrical release on 26 February 2016.

The Four Horseman Return In Now You See Me 2

This week film fans got a glimpse of Now You See Me 2, the sequel to the magician-themed movie that was a surprise hit back in 2013.

In this follow-up, the top magicians known as ‘The Four Horseman’ – played by Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco and Lizzy Caplan (who replaces Isla Fisher) – return for a second illusion-filled adventure.

The film is set one year after the original and sees the four magicians re-emerge to expose the unethical practices of threatening tech prodigy Walter Mabry (Daniel Radcliffe).

The action-packed teaser trailer includes previews of all four magicians in action, as well as returning actors Michael Caine and Mark Ruffalo, and looks set to deliver on thrills, humour and intelligence.

Now You See Me 2 is released on 10 June 2016.

Jessica Chastain & Chris Hemsworth Fall In Love In The Huntsman: Winter’s War Trailer

Earlier this year we reported that a sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman had been green lit. This week the first trailer dropped for the new adventure, entitled The Huntsman: Winter’s War.

The new film is a prequel, with Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth reprising their roles as the evil queen and the titular Huntsman. They’re joined by Jessica Chastain as a fellow warrior and Emily Blunt as Freya the ice queen. The Hunger Games’ Sam Claflin and British actors Sheridan Smith, Nick Frost and Colin Morgan round out the film’s cast.

The Huntsman: Winter’s War will be released on 22 April 2016.
