The build up to the big summer event has begun – the lineup has been announced, early bird tickets have sold out and Kelvin Batt (organiser of the event) has promised more glitz and glam than ever before.
The Summer Masked Ball takes place on the picturesque cliffs of Porthleven, Cornwall on Saturday May 3rd and this year’s line-up is a beaut’. Groove Armada will do a DJ set, Dreadzone and The Cuban Brothers will play on the brand new live stage on the upper terrace, and Horse Meat Disco will be hitting up the lavishly decorated Ballroom.
Other confirmed artists include Jelly Jazz, who will be running the Soul Circus Tent said to be the funkiest club south of the North Pole. My favourite Sir Vinyl will be in the ever-popular Snowdome, along with many others to create the hedonistic soundtrack of the summer!
The majority of ballers camp it out in vans and tents dotted around the site, but if you’re not one for camping don’t be put off! There’s a VIP camping area where you can hire Hobbit Huts, Bell Tents and Tipis (they even have hot showers and posh loos!).
After the last event the security team has changed, and there’s a lower capacity to give more room for roaming. Other changes include more lighting in the car park and camping areas, and generally a better layout.
