Studio Ghibli have released their first subtitled trailer for their new film, Kaze Tachinu (The Wind Rises) for the Toronto International Film Festival. Taking place during Japan’s Great Depression of the 1920s and the Great Kanto Earthquake, the film tells the real life stories of aircraft designer, Jiro Horikokshi, and poet, Tatsuo Hori. The animation is as beautiful and intricate as ever. This looks like it will be another memorable addition to the Studio Ghibli family.
