– Joe Pasquale is set to make his West End debut in the hit show Spamalot at the Playhouse Theatre. The comedian, known for his performances on reality shows I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and Dancing On Ice, will play the role of King Arthur for 6 weeks.
– A new show is set to open in the West End after embarking on a national tour. The production, titled Perfect Nonsense, stars Matthew Mcfadyen and Steven Magnan and will be based on P.G Wodehouse’s Jeeves and Wooster creation. Prior to the West End, the show will preview at Richmond Theatre 10th -19th October and at Brighton’s Theatre Royal on the 23rd – 26th October. It will then officially open at the Duke of York Theatre on the 30th October all the way to 8th March 2014
And finally… Rumours are circulating that acclaimed Shakespearean actor Rory Kinnear has been offered the role of Doctor Who. The Olivier award winning actor, currently starring alongside Adrian Lester in Othello at The National Theatre, is said to be the producer’s top choice. Kinnear, who wowed critics with his interpretation of Hamlet two years ago, is currently 2/1 favourite to be the next Doctor and is said to be considering the offer.
