Independent studio Camel 101 and Kasedo games have announced their plans to release real-time tactics game Mechs and Mercs: Black Talon later this year.
Mechs and Mercs: Black Talon is set in a futuristic war torn universe, where chaos and corruption is rife. While planets and star systems begin to forge new alliances and recover from the war, warlords rise to power, collapsing governments and taking control of vulnerable planets.
The game puts the player in charge of the Black Talon company, “a fearless mercenary unit”, whose job it is to provide military assistance, to maintain order and to negotiate peace between the ruling factions.
“The Black Talons provide everything from specialist squads and supplies, to entire armies, bases – and even powerful mechs of warfare. This comes at a price, of course – but in a universe controlled by the corrupt, is it enough to stand by and watch while great cities burn to the ground and whole civilisations are destroyed all in the name of conquest?”
Mechs and Mercs: Black Talon takes strategy games to the next level with persistent and fully customisable squads, along with customisable and upgradable bases, allowing the player to tailor their armies to their own play style, and offer further tactical based battles. The game will also feature an extensive campaign mode across 5 worlds, each with their own weather conditions and environments that directly affect the battles being waged.
Releasing globally via digital download for PC, Mac, and Linux, Mechs and Mercs: Black Talon will be available later on this year.
