On the 26th October, in the deep dark South-West of England, you’ll come across an array of Monsters and Ghouls parading down muddy tracks carrying tents, beer and random inflatable paraphernalia – all heading to a hugely hedonistic, darkly debaucherous, all or nothing party on a camel farm (yep, I said camel rarm).
The Masked Ball is a biannual event that every partier would love to attend, think surrealist marquees filled with anything from large inflatable balls (aptly named Balls Deep) to an igloo and even a rocket ship. This year boasts acts such as Phil Hartnoll, Sister Bliss, Drums of Death, Daft Funk, Greg Wilson, Electric Rescue and John Askew. Each party goer is dressed to the nines, putting everything into their costume, and some are actually terrifying. It’s definitely not worth missing.
This year the organisers have gone one step further than previous years, providing Hobbit Huts, Bell Tents and Tipis for those who prefer glamping it up in October (rather than joining the masses in the mud ridden campsite/car park), as well as bringing us a whole ‘Unfairground’ in the woods (including a rum-coconut shy). The creepy party starts on Friday, October 25, with Slamboree Sound System, a silent disco and a screening of The Exorcist in the woods.
Celebrate this Halloween in Cornwall at THE best and biggest Halloween party of them all. Tickets are on sale at www.maskedball.net.
