In director Barry Levinson’s Rock the Kasbah, Bill Murray plays Richie Lanz, a down-on-his-luck music manager who takes his last remaining client (Zooey Deschanel) on a USO tour of Afghanistan.

Not keen on the prospect, she quickly ditches Ritchie in Kabul, leaving him stranded without his money, passport or means of returning home. Ritchie attempts to return to America but along the way discovers a young girl with an amazing voice (Leem Lubany) and finds he has a last chance at creating a star.

The new trailer has Billy Murray’s trademark humour and a classic rock soundtrack, including David Bowie’s Rebel Rebel and Murray himself singing Deep Purple’s Smoke on the Water.

Directed by Barry Levinson (Good Morning, Vietnam and Rain Man), Rock the Kasbah also stars Bruce Willis, Kate Hudson, Danny McBride, Scott Kaan and Taylor Kinney, and is due for release on 23 October 2015.
