This week’s music video of the week comes from Toronto five-piece July Talk, a band who pride themselves on not only writing their own music, but filming, directing and editing their own videos too.

Taken from their upcoming debut EP, Summer Dress is a deliciously primal piece of rock ‘n’ roll, with killer riffs and a driving beat. The black and white video tells a dark and conversational tale of a twisted love affair, accompanied by Peter Dreimanis and Leah Fay’s dynamic vocals. It’s a little unhinged and we love it!

Last year the band were nominated alongside the likes of Arcade Fire at the Juno Awards – Canada’s equivalent to the Grammys – but they’re just as comfortable performing small gigs as they are performing to big festival crowds. As of today the band are bringing their high energy show to the UK for the Dot to Dot Festival, before going on to play gigs in York, London, Leeds and Europe. On June 15th they’ll also be playing at the Isle of Wight Festival.
