We love a bit of folk-pop here at Culturefly and Robbie Boyd’s new song, Less Than Friends, is just about as charming as folk-pop comes. The song is Boyd’s first single taken from his debut album, So Called Man.

A slightly darker number than some of Boyd’s previous offerings, Less Than Friends demonstrates Robbie’s versatile vocals and his band’s folk-driven groove. It’s a song about unrequited love and the hope that comes with it, promising to leave you feeling just a little bit wistful.

With lyrics reminiscent of Passenger and a delicate Mumford & Sons twang, the upcoming album is certainly one to pop on your Summer wish list. If you’re a fan of easy listening music with a sweet sense of romanticism, you’re going to love this.
