Classic rockers Led Zeppelin are facing a lawsuit over one of their most iconic and best loved songs, Stairway to Heaven.

Spirit, who were on tour with the band in the late 60’s, are claiming that the intro to Stairway to Heaven is copied from their track Tauros, and having listened to said song, there’s a definite similarity between the two (in fact they’re almost exactly the same).

Throughout their career, Zeppelin have faced numerous possible lawsuits over copyright allegations, which they’ve always settled out of court. This time could be different as Spirit have spent many years preparing their case, which means they could win a share of the £333mil worth, which would be a hefty prize!

Shame on you Zeppers if you’ve actually thieved it, though we’ll have to wait and see what the outcome is.
