In the next three years independent bands such as duo Public Service Broadcasting will be able to reach an international market.
The government is pumping a total of £3million in grants to the Music Export Growth scheme – all to be allocated to independent music companies in an aim to increase the number of labels and managers with international experience. It is also to encourage labels to promote their atrists in emerging and established international markets.
The grants will be available over the next 3 years, ranging from £5000 to £50,000. Let’s hope this helps the british music scene to flourish.
