The-Worlds-End-– With the imminent release of The World’s End, the latest instalment of the Cornetto trilogy, the featured town of Newton Haven has released a tourist video featuring the pub crawl route used in the film. – Peter Jackson has announced that The Hobbit: the Desolation of Smaug will not feature at comic-con as he is too busy finishing the two sequels to last year’s box office hit The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

The Lego Movie has come to the world’s attention in the last week with the release of a trailer, but despite the much anticipated movie (how has a movie with Lego not been done before!?) not having been released yet, Warner Bros. have already shown an interest in making another featuring the Ninjango series of Lego toys.

– Kevin Costner, fresh from his recent outing in Man of Steel has signed up to Disney’s McFarland. The film is a sports drama based on a true story of a high school track team coach in the 1980s.

World War Z has topped the box office this week with $263 million worldwide. The film which was widely expected to bomb opened at number two behind Monsters University but this week managed to reach the top spot.

– Terence Stamp has joined the cast for Tim Burton’s new project Big Eyes. The film features Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz as two painters Margaret and Walter.

– The New Terminator movie has announced an early 2015 release date. The film will see Arnie returning but the new epic is intended as a reboot, with a further two films set to follow in the future.

– Sam Mendes is keeping tight lipped on whether he will be returning to the director chair for Bond 24. He is currently still managing his theatre commitments, but having ruled himself out, only to have been brought back in the frame, word is that he will likely return.

– Since Avengers Assemble first hit our screens, rumours have circulated that a rival Justice League movie could be on the cards but Man of Steel main-man Henry Cavill has suggested that the movie is not on the cards just yet.

– Julianne Moore is in talks to feature in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay as President Alma Coin. With high profile acting talent already attached to the franchise, Moore is expected to commit to the final instalment of the trilogy.
