If there’s one thing that Milla Jovovich proved in the Resident Evil movies, it’s that she’s really good at staying alive. Now with James McTeigue’s upcoming thriller Survivor, it looks like Jovovich is back to doing what she does best – running, fighting and narrowly missing death.

Survivor centres on Jovovich’s State Department employee who is framed for crimes she didn’t commit soon after being posted at the US embassy in London. The unnamed character is forced to go on the run in order to clear her name and avoid an untimely death, all the while trying to stop a terrorist attack set for New Year’s Eve in Times Square.

Cue fast action, big explosions and Pierce Brosnan making us feel nostalgic over his days as a British super-spy. Broadchurch‘s James D’Arcy and Hostages‘ Dylan McDermott also star in this film from the producers of the surprisingly enjoyable Olympus has Fallen.

Milla Jovovich can do kick-ass heroine with her eyes closed, so whether she’s on the run or fighting for her life, you can guarantee that she’ll make this movie an entertaining ride.

Survivor will be released in UK cinemas on 5 June.
