Indie Games have squarely made the journey from PC to console, and at their Gamescom Xbox press conference, Microsoft were proud to announce a whole host of new indie games coming ‘first to console on Xbox One’, launching through their ID @ Xbox programme.

Chris Charla, Director of ID @ Xbox, took to the stage saying, “We have had an awesome year working with some fantastic developers since we announced the ID @Xbox programme last year at Gamescom 2013. We now have hundreds of independent games in development for Xbox One from studios all over the world”.

Fans received a quick glimpse at some of the featured upcoming games including Smite, Space Engineers, The Escapists and Superhot through theatrical and gameplay trailers, however no other information was released.
