Made In Chelsea The Soundtrack Vol.1 – Various Review

made in chelsea the soundtrackWhilst Made in Chelsea has become something of a ‘guilty pleasure’, its effortlessly cool soundtrack is without doubt the best part of the series, making even the most cringing scenarios bearable. Featuring some of the hottest indie artists on the music scene, The Soundtrack Vol 1 is jam-packed with all the best tunes from the series, including exclusives and tracks by ‘friends’ of the show.

Starting with the acclaimed theme tune, M83’s Midnight City, Vol 1 doesn’t waste any time getting into the indie swing. From Josh Weller’s lively I Forgot To Tell You You’re Beautiful to Tom Odell’s dramatic Can’t Pretend, it’s an eclectic collection for MIC lovers.

Stand out songs come in the form of Ásgeir’s whimsical and soaring Torrent, and the gorgeous piano driven Have You Got Heart by Layla. Sadly it doesn’t feature the amusing L’Americano by The Gypsy Queens, where the MIC boys added their less than desirable vocals, but that’s available for download as a single, so don’t panic.

The Vol 1 soundtrack collection is a clever way of capitalising on the popularity of the series and makes for a great stand alone album too.
