Reese Witherspoon is to narrate the audio book of Harper Lee’s upcoming sequel to To Kill a Mockingbird, titled Go Set A Watchman. The hardback edition is available to pre-order now and will be released on July 14.
The Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, the prestigious American award (which is only awarded to U.S. authors), was won last week by Anthony Doerr for All the Light We Cannot See.
Yiyun Lin has won the Sunday Times short story prize for her work ‘A Sheltered Woman’. Linux, who was raised in China and became an American citizen in 2012, is the first woman to win in the £30,000 prize’s history.
It seems like the decent box-office return made by the film version of Fifty Shades of Grey was enough to convince producers to proceed with adapting the sequels. Fifty Shades Darker is due February 2017 and Fifty Shades Freed will come out in February 2018.
Emily Bitto has won the Stella Prize for 2015 with her debut novel, The Strays. This award is given annually to Australian women writers of fiction and non fiction.
The third novel in J K Rowling’s series, under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith, is to come out in the autumn with the title Career of Evil.
