British band The Kaiser Chiefs have announced that they will play two arena shows next year. The band, who have titled the shows ‘Home and Away’, have confirmed that they will play at London’s 02 Arena on 13th February 2015 and Leeds’ newly opened First Direct Arena on the 14th February 2015.
The Kaiser Chiefs last played London’s 02 way back in February 2008, as part of the NME Awards show, sharing the bill with Manic Street Preachers and Bloc Party.
The 2015 dates were announced following the success of the band’s fifth album Education, Education, Education and War, which spent two weeks at the top of the UK album charts. It marks the band’s return to the charts following frontman Ricky Wilson’s stint as a judge on BBC’s The Voice this year.
Earlier this month the Kaisers embarked on a European tour and they’ll be back in the UK this summer playing dates at V festival and T in the Park with more festival dates to be confirmed. It seems the band are just as popular as they’ve always been.
Tickets for both the London and Leeds shows go on general sale Friday 25th April at 9am.
