On the same day that Bond fans caught their first behind-the-scenes glimpse of Spectre, lovers of the spy genre were also treated to the official trailer for The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

Written and directed by RocknRolla‘s Guy Ritchie, U.N.C.L.E takes us back to the 1960’s where Henry Cavill’s CIA agent Napoleon Solo and Armie Hammer’s KGB operative Illya Kuryakin join forces to bring down an international criminal organisation.

It might sound like a hackneyed plot on paper but with its retro espionage feel, this could be a fun return to the old spy days, only with a slicker and edgier approach.

Handsome, confident and suave as hell, Henry Cavill is perfectly cast at the “CIA’s most effective agent”, while Hammer nails the serious Russian operative humouring his American counterpart. Is it too early to label these two as a dream team? Because we love them already.

Stylish camera work and a enviable cast make this reboot of the 1960’s American TV series one to keep an eye on. The film hits UK cinemas in August 2015.
