Thousands of people have been waiting for this moment. They’ve taken a gamble on getting tickets for Glastonbury before the line-up is even released, each person hoping that their favourite band will make an appearance at the festival. The good news is that there is always something for everyone.

On the 30 March 2017 the first line-up was released and the headliners announced: Foo-Fighters, Ed Sheeran and Radiohead. The Foos were booked to headline in 2015 but had to pull out due to frontman Dave Grohl breaking his leg, much to the punters’ disappointment. Ed Sheeran has dominated the top of the charts this year, with ‘Shape of You’ being on the top spot for the past 11 weeks, so he’s a fabulous choice (this could be like when Kanye West headlined and everyone was hating until they saw him). And it will also be great to see final headliners Radiohead where they belong on the Pyramid stage.

Other acts announced include Katy Perry, First Aid Kit, Biffy Clyro, Lorde, Solange, Laura Marling, The Jacksons and Toots and the Maytals. This year’s festival boasts an extraordinary mixture of genres and talent which is already getting music fans excited about attending in June.
