The St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival is coming to Melbourne, Australia on the 9 February 2019. Last year I was excited to be attending the festival to see the new wave 70’s flaresters known as The Babe Rainbow but unfortunately, due to an incident involving a charcoal baguette, I had to pass the baton on to someone else, which means I’m even more excited to experience this year’s event.
Having moved to a new greener location in Footscray, the festival is going to be an absolute belter. It boasts a plethora of genres from RnB, indie, and even a splash of funk to tap your toes to. Highlights include Jorja Smith, Florence and the Machine, Parquet Courts, Crooked Colours, and the one and only Courtney Barnett. With the sun out and the drinks flowing, there will be no better way to celebrate summer sunshine than getting a tad tipsy and doing interpretive dance with your besties.
If you’re worried that Melbourne is too far away from you, don’t fret because it’s visiting a few more spots: Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Fremantle, before finishing off in Singapore.
