When people think of Cornwall they think of quaint cottages, Poldark, pasties and mead (possibly Newquay too) but did you know that Cornwall has a pretty great music scene? It’s set to get even better this summer, with Fat Boy Slim swapping the East Sussex coastline for the North Cornish Coast as he plays at Live In The Wyldes.
Fatboy Slim’s performance on 14 June will mark the opening of the third year of Live in The Wyldes, with previous headline performances from Rag‘n’Bone Man, Chase & Status and Paloma Faith, all supported by a host of incredible artists including Dan Caplen, Shy FX, High Contrast and Rhys Lewis.
Based in Bude, Into The Wyldes is a beautiful amphitheatre and avenue of trees a few miles from the beach. The whole site is made to be sustainable and is created using recycled materials with a 0% landfill policy.
The Wyldes is also home to multi award-winning festival Leopallooza, which I’ve been lucky enough to attend in the past and rate it as a really great intimate festival.
Fatboy Slim is incredible live and having seen him both at a secret gig in Melbourne, Australia and another music festival, I can’t wait to see what a small British gig in nature will be like.
Tickets are still available and I’d recommend snapping them up before they sell out! For tickets and more information, visit the official Wyldes website.
