Kristoff sums up this trailer with just three words in the first seven seconds: check this out. Yes, that’s right, it’s time to put a little more Frozen back into our lives as Disney have released the trailer for their new animated short Frozen Fever.
At just thirty seconds long, this trailer is truly a teaser in every sense of the word but it’s more than enough to get us reacquainted with all the characters we’ve fallen in love with – including Oaken in his sauna – and introduce us to the sounds of a brand new song written by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, the duo that brought us ‘Let It Go’.
As per the official synopsis, it’s Anna’s birthday, so Kristoff and Elsa are arranging a birthday celebration, including everything from handmade banners to a fabulous-looking cake that Olaf can’t resist sinking his teeth in to. Unfortunately, Elsa gets a cold, which causes her powers to play up and put more than the party at risk.
Whether you agree with the idea of Frozen getting a sort-of-sequel or not, I think this trailer goes a long way towards proving that another trip to Arendelle can only be a good thing – and it’s also nice to know that Elsa’s dresses remain glamorous and glittery in the summer months too.
If you want to see the short in full, there’s a bit of a catch as it will only be screened before showings of Kenneth Brannagh’s live adaptation of Cinderella. Luckily, as that film looks equally as enchanting, 27 March 2015 looks set to be a perfect day indeed!
