EA SPORTS has this week unveiled NHL 15, the first title in a new generation of hockey videogames that will launch worldwide this fall on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

NHL 15 seeks to improve on almost every aspect of its predecessor, supporting real world physics that now extends to all 12 players on the ice, as well as the puck, authentic player modelling, dynamic and individual crowd models, and the most realistic broadcast package to date, featuring Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick and Eddie Olczy.

With a new generation of hockey videogames, comes a truer more authentic gaming experience, “From the ice, to the fans, to the presentation, NHL 15 brings to life the sights, sounds and feel of the fastest team sport on the planet like no other game before.”

The Next Generation Hockey Players have been rebuilt from the ground up, powered by the same technology as displayed in EA SPORTS UFC, delivering realistic player character models. The Vision AI feature also elevates the level of player intelligence and enhances awareness, reading and reacting to potential passes and plays, all improving the flow of the game.

Along with this announcement EA SPORTS have also partnered with the National Hockey League and the National Hockey League Players’ Association, to offer fans the chance to vote on the face of the new NHL 15 cover. Fans can choose from a pool of eight hockey superstars, voting as many times as they want, with one player being eliminated each week until the favourite is chosen. Votes can be cast at the NHL 15 Cover Vote Campaign page.

To ensure their favourite player makes it through each week’s elimination, fans can double their votes by taking part in the “Twitter Vote Thursdays” using the player specific hashtags, where each tweet containing a player hashtag will count as two votes. The EA SPORTS NHL 15 Cover Athlete winner will be unveiled at the 2014 NHL Awards on June 24th in Las Vegas.

The Players nominated for the cover and their player hashtags are:
1. Patrice Bergeron of the Boston Bruins – #NHL15Bergeron
