Nintendo and Good-Feel Company have been working on a new 2D action platform game, Yoshi’s Woolly World, Nintendo revealed at their E3 digital event.
The game will feature the same knitted yarn style as portrayed in Good-Feels adorable Wii game Kirby’s Epic Yarn, but will not simply be a sequel to this lovable game. Good-Feel have centred Yoshi’s Woolly World around exploration and having fun, taking away time limits and count downs, and allowing players to explore the vast levels, to use the yarn to transform the world and uncover hidden areas.

“With Yoshi games, they don’t have any time limits, so you’re able to freely explore the vast game world,” Etsunobu Ebisu, of Good-Feel Company said during the event. “You can make new discoveries… in the case of Yoshi, he’s so almighty, if he tries, he can fly as far as he wants.”
The game will also feature a two player co-op mode where, as Etsunobu Ebisu explains “Yoshi can eat up and spit out the other Yoshi wherever he likes. This is really important in co-op, and can be used in a way to attack the other player.”
Yoshi’s Woolly World will be released on the Wii U in 2015.
