During their E3 digital event, Nintendo announced the addition of Mii’s as new fightable characters in their upcoming game Super Smash Bros.
Players will now be able to import their Mii characters into both the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game to do battle. Nintendo unveiled that when fighting as a Mii, players will be able to choose from three classes: Brawler, Swordfighter and Gunner, each with their own unique set of special moves.
With audiences thrilled over the news of the inclusion of Mii fighters into the game, Masahiro Sakurai director of Super Smash Bros dropped a second announcement that iconic Namco Bandai character Pac-Man will also be playable, adding another famous name to the current line-up of Mario, Sonic the Hedgehog, Mega Man, Donkey Kong, Pikachu, Link, Bowser, the Male and Female Wii Fit Instructors, Charizard and many more.
Nintendo has recently pushed back the release date of the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros, due to needing more time to continue testing the game, scheduling the new release date for October 3rd in North America and Europe.
The Wii U version has also had a change in release date, with the launch being pushed forward from its previously slated release date of winter 2014 (a window covering from December up until February) to being ready for the holidays. While no specific date is mentioned, it does suggest that we’ll be seeing the game arrive late November/early December, several months ahead of schedule and just in time for Christmas.
