At their E3 press conference, Sony announced a whole heap of new original IP’s and upcoming sequels, however it was the news that cult classic Grim Fandango was being remastered for consoles that really grabbed the audience’s attention.
Tim Schafer’s Mexican noir, point and click classic Grim Fandango, will finally be coming to consoles, after it originally debuted on the PC back in October 1998. So far very little information has been revealed about the project, however Sony did announce that the game will launch exclusively for the PlayStation 4 and the PS Vita.
Even though Sony has the exclusivity of Grim Fandango on Consoles, a tweet from Tim Schafer suggests that the game could make an appearance on other platforms. Perhaps the cult classic will once again return to the PC.
Talk about other platforms soon! Sony’s been a great help making this happen & we’re excited to be working with them on the console version!
