At their E3 press conference Ubisoft finally announced a release date for their upcoming MMO open world racing game The Crew. The Game will hit shelves on November 11th for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC
New footage, shown during the Ubisoft event, showcases one of the two-hour missions driving from Miami to Los Angeles, supposedly without any loading screens. The time-lapse footage shows a crew driving coast to coast during the day and at night, in the sun and snow, passing many recognisable cities and landmarks along the way including Mount Rushmore and San Francisco.
Creative director Julian Gerighty revealed that the developer has been running a secret beta since May called Route 99, which took the form of a racing tournament, pitching teams against each other. The finals took place over the last couple of days and can be watched over on Twitch.
Gerighty also announced that The Crew will go into closed beta on July 23rd, allowing a limited number to test out the game before they open it to the public. Fans can sign up for a chance to join the beta by visiting The Crew Website.
