For fans of Holby City, Jules Knight will already be a familiar face, having starred in the hit TV show for a couple of years as ‘Hot’ Harry Tressler. What you may not know however, is that before taking to the Holby wards, Knight started his career as a member of the globally successful vocal group Blake.

Now, having decided to leave Holby City and return to his musical roots, Jules Knight has released his debut album Change of Heart.

The album sees Knight on excellent form, showing off a great pop vocal style with a classical edge, and backed by a well-chosen selection of cover tracks and originals to compliment his style and range. Too often, artists cover or write songs which simply don’t suit their vocals, but Knight has chosen well from a list of some of his favourite songwriters.

There’s a decent selection too – a couple of classics from the musicals, jazz standards such as My Funny Valentine, and a bit of Billy Joel, all mixed in with his own new songs. The result is a slick pop album with wide appeal that it’s easy to imagine will retain appeal with his existing fan base, and might win a few newbies over too.
