Celebrate Summer in Melbourne at Duke Street Block Party

Have you ever been to a street party before? If the answer is yes, you haven’t really, and if the answer is no, that’s perfectly fine because either way Duke Street Block Party has you covered.

On 2 February, Untitled Group, Moondog Brewery and Crown Ruler are bringing you a 10-hour, 2 stage musical extravaganza with food and alcohol aplenty.

Set amongst the industrial factories of Abbotsford with a view of the Yarra Bend parklands, Duke Street Block Party boasts a killer lineup of international and local acts.

Headliner Evelyn Champagne King will be administering punters with a healthy dose of disco jams alongside the must see Melbourne 80s soul/funk/disco outfit Mondo Freaks.

Hailing from the UK, Floating Points will be spinning his signature jazzy beats whilst simultaneously utilizing his PHD in neuroscience to stimulate your brain’s neural pleasure pathways.

Other specials on the menu include London’s John Gómez, Total Giovanni (DJ set), Big Words, Nasty Mars & the Martians, not to mention the recently announced Melbourne collective 30/70.

CC:DISCO, who attracts the masses to her music like metal to a magnet, will also be running her notorious Club Coco. If you love moving your feet to reverberating, melodic house, don’t neglect this stage.

You can also check out Moondog Brewery on Duke Street to watch them brew beers, or head to their Ballroom Oasis where local selectors will be on show.
