With all the hype surrounding them, Royal Blood were undoubtedly going to make our Band of the Month at some point, and what better time then with the release of their debut album.

The Brighton two-piece’s colossal wall of sound is a combination of Noughties garage rock with blues infusions, similar to The Black Keys mixed with The Pixies. Formed in 2012, Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher have already been nominated for BBC’s Sound of 2014 as well as having support slots with Arctic Monkeys and hysteric performances at this years Glastonbury and T In The Park.

With anthemic singles Come On Over and Little Monster catching major attention across the globe, their long awaited self-titled debut album is due for release on the 25th August, coinciding with their highly anticipated Reading and Leeds festival appearances. Impressively only comprising of bass, drums and vocal, the album is rumored to be even more raw, raucous and unashamedly loud. Be sure to catch them on the smaller stages while you can.
