Forget Martin Luther King, Abe Lincoln and Elvis Presley…the only American legend we’re waiting to see brought to life on the big screen this year is the entrepreneur that was Steve Jobs – the man we still fondly associate with the company that’s quite literally taking over the world, Apple Inc.

The story of Steve Jobs’ journey from college dropout to one of the most esteemed creative minds of the 20th century is one that should be of interest to everyone, Apple-fan or not, because he helped shape the world as we know it – a world that’s still evolving technologically because of his vision. Not only will this film be a fascinating insight into Jobs’ life and work, it’s a fitting tribute to the ‘Father of the Digital Revolution’.

Aside from a short movie clip and the initial stills that created a swirl of intrigue, this trailer is our first proper glimpse at Ashton Kutcher as Jobs, and it’s a glimpse that should be putting a big smile on faces across the globe. If you were one of the many who were dubious that Kutcher was the man for the ‘job’ (I know I was…), the trailer should dispel any concerns. Kutcher looks, sounds and acts the part – at this stage it’s difficult to imagine anyone else in the role.

So with this new trailer to watch, I’ll leave you with a quote from the great visionary himself:

“Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.” Steve Jobs
