The Arctic Monkeys performed a powerful show on Sunday night to conclude what was a celebration of guitar heavy music at Leeds Festival this weekend.

The Sheffield rockers played an eclectic mix of tracks from several of their albums. Most prevalent however was their latest album, AM, with the band playing crowd pleasers such as Do I Wanna Know, Knee Socks, and Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High.
arctic-monkeysFront-man Alex Turner, who strolled on stage 10 minutes before schedule, turned up in all black with slicked back hair. He was the epitome of cool, addressing the crowd only a few times to ask how their weekend had been.

For many music fans, Reading and Leeds Festival marks the end of the alternative-music festival calendar for 2014. Until next year then!
