Move over Daniel Craig, there’s a new secret-service agent in town.
20th Century Fox has released a new trailer for Matthew Vaughn’s (X-Men: First Class, Kiss-Ass) Kingsman: The Secret Service, starring Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson, Taron Egerton, Mark Strong and Michael Caine.
Based on Dave Gibbons and Mark Millar’s comic book, The Secret Service, the upcoming spy movie tells the story of a secret organisation that recruits an uncultured street kid into its competitive training program and introduces him to the covert world of espionage.
The Smoke‘s Taron Egerton plays Gary ‘Eggsy’ Unwin, the young protege full of promise, while Colin Firth brings his usual charm and style to the role of veteran secret agent Harry Hart.
As for the rest of the cast…British favourites Mark Strong and Michael Caine make brief appearances as Merlin and Arthur respectively. Then there’s Samuel L. Jackson who utters lines like,”Mankind is the virus, and I’m the cure”, as evil tech genius Valentine. It might not be an instant classic but it still sounds cool coming from Samuel L. Jackson’s mouth.
The trailer also features a new song by Iggy Azalea featuring Ellie Goulding.
Kingsman: The Secret Service is expected to hit UK cinemas in February 2015.
