Everything you read on Culturefly is contributed by volunteer writers who have a passion for pop culture, the arts and entertainment. We’re a collaborative and collective site and the opportunity to write for us is always open. We welcome new contributors who are witty, opinionated, knowledgeable on our subjects, geeky-to-the-extreme where pop-culture is concerned and, most importantly, people who have a way with words – if you think that’s you, get in contact!
We’re always looking for new reviews to share with our readers, new stories to tell and entertaining features covering the areas of film, tv, book, music, stage, photography, art, games and fashion. Our writers should always have a steady stream of ideas for articles and features – this is one of the only rules we insist upon.
We have plenty of review opportunities up for grabs on a weekly basis. These include reviewing the latest music and books – often before they’ve been released – and opportunities to go along to film screenings, festivals, gigs and cultural events. What could be better than free review goodies and press access?
If you’d like to become a Culturefly writer, please email firstname.lastname@example.org telling us a little bit about you – not a CV but something that shows us you’re not a robot. Tell us what area of the site interests you most and how you feel you’d fit into the Culturefly world. It isn’t important that you’ve got 10 degrees under your belt, a glowing recommendation from the Queen and can juggle with your toes. We want to know what makes you tick as a writer/reviewer, what television shows or films you can’t get enough of etc, what books do you love etc. We’re interested in the person and their ability to write for Culturefly, not past education and references. Please also send two relevant example reviews or articles (as links or attachments) – these should be in a style that suits the website.
If you’ve got to here you must still be interested, so what are you waiting for? Write for us!
