Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games and The Lego Group have announced Lego Ninjago: Nindroids for Nintendo 3DS and Playstation Vita.
Based on the popular Lego Ninjago franchise, Lego Ninjago: Nindroids will feature 30 fast-paced, action-packed levels and will follow key plot scenarios from the Lego Ninjago Rebooted animated series.
In Lego Ninjago: Nindroids, players will face their greatest challenge as they attempt to protect New Ninjago City from Overlord’s Nindroid army. Players will take to the streets in Cole’s Earth Mech and Jay’s Thunder Raider, defend the skies in the Kai Fighter and escape Pythor on Lloyd’s Golden Cycle – a sentence that will probably only make sense if you’re a fan of the Ninjago Lego or animated series.
If you are a fan though, you could have a lot to look forward to. Tom Stone, managing director of TT Games, has called the game “the ultimate Ninja action game for kids” and given the current lack of a good Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Game, he may well be right.
Importantly, Lego Ninjago: Nindroids is not being directly developed by TT Games, the developer behind the recent string of Lego hits such as Lego Star Wars and Lego Marvel Superheroes but instead by Hellbent Games, who handled the previous Lego Ninjago game, Lego Battles: Ninjago for the 3DS a couple of years ago. That game was met with largely indifferent reviews but managed to sell over 2 million units.
