To kick off this week’s movie news roundup we have a new clip from How To Train Your Dragon 2. Dreamworks were obviously feeling overly kind when they decided to release the first five minutes of the Dragon sequel. Jay Baruchel is back as the voice of Hiccup alongside Kristen Wiig, America Ferrera and Jonah Hill, who are all returning for round two of Dragon training.

Earlier on in the week we talked about the new trailer for the upcoming Warner Brothers film If I Stay. Now we have not one, but two new images to share with you. The pictures show Chloe Grace Moretz’s Mia Hall with Jamie Blackley’s dreamy Adam. If you’re a YA fan, this one’s definitely for you.

In the latest casting news, Jessica Chastain is set to play Marilyn Monroe in Andrew Dominik’s Blonde. The film, which is an adaptation of Joyce Carol Oates’ fictionalised biography of Monroe, previously had Naomi Watts attached to it but has since changed direction. Chastain doesn’t immediately spring to mind when thinking of actresses who could portray the troubled star – Michelle Williams on the other hand was quite perfect in 2011’s My Week With Marilyn – but she has the acting chops, so she could bring something a little different to the role.

In other casting news, Trophy Wife’s Ryan Lee has joined the cast of Rob Letterman’s Goosebumps adaptation. Lee, who previously starred in This Is 40 and Super 8, will star alongside Jack Black and Odeya Rush in the film based on R. L. Stine’s book series.

Finally, a release date for David Koepp’s Mortdecai has been set for February 2015. Centring on an art dealer on the run from Russian mobsters and British MI5, Mortdecai brings Johnny Depp and Paul Bettany together once again (they previously appeared together on screen in The Tourist), as well as Gwyneth Paltrow, Ewan McGregor, Aubrey Plaza and Jeff Goldblum. That’s a pretty good ensemble cast if you ask us.
