A new trailer has dropped for Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, the third entry in the highly successful family adventure series, and it seems that the filmmakers are approaching this one in the good old “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” mentality, with plenty of shenanigans and hijinks from everyone’s favourite magical live museum pieces. One sad, notable point is that this was Robin Williams’ final completed film before his untimely death earlier this year.
This time out, our heroes venture off to London to find a solution to the dissipating magic of the Egyptian tablet that is the source of their life. All the usual gang make an appearance, with extra assistance this time out from Ben Kingsley and Dan Stevens’ Lancelot.
Can’t help but wish that Amy Adams’ plucky Amelia Earhart were back on board though. Still, we do get a nice gag with some very big cats though, which is always funny.
With this entry being set in London and the British museum, expect plenty of American style humour poking fun at all the usual English stereotypes.
Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb is released December 19th.
