We loved Festival No 6 last year and now the amazing boutique festival is returning for September 2014 with more bite than before and the line-up has just been released!
Set in the idyllic town of Portmeirion in Wales, the backdrop for the festival is unlike any other. Picture bright and bold buildings with Italian architecture surrounded by deck chairs, light processions, human buses, music, comedy and happy punters, and you have Festival No 6. Taking place between the 5th and 7th September, this could be the perfect festival to end the summer.
So what’s the line-up I hear you ask? Well, this year Beck and London Grammar are headlining with a third headliner still to be revealed. Also playing are Bonobo, Steve Mason and Martha Reeves & the Vandellas – throwing some Motown into the mix. Psychedelic poppers Temples are returning for the second year running and I hope they come back to the smaller stages, though this is yet to be confirmed.
Alongside these music acts there will also be a hit-list of comedy performances, talks, films and of course random circus activities. This festival is by far the best of the summer with the most relaxed happy-go-lucky atmosphere of them all, set in a breath-taking setting. They also have the option of renting a house for the weekend, for those who don’t like camping, as well as a Yurt and Tipi field, and a camping field where you can arrive to a set up tent.
Tickets are on sale now via the website, along with a list of accommodation options. Bring on September!
